Bardic Audio Guitar Pedals

I was approached by Bardic Audio Devices, a company that makes boutique guitar and bass effect pedals, to redesign the enclosure art one of their more popular pedals, the HM Demon. The Bardic Audio brand has an overall theme of Dungeons & Dragons inspired names and imagery, so—starting with the Demon—I decided to make every pedal a character where the user feels like there’s a story they’re playing and each pedal is a weapon in their sonic arsenal. The design includes an original demon illustration and custom HM Demon product logo/branding. As a bonus feature, the ON/BYPASS footswitch lights up two strategically placed red mini-LED lights to give the Demon’s eyes an infernal glow.

That pedal became the first in transitioning the entire line of pedals from one-color silkscreened art to full-color. It was so successful that we also created limited edition Noir, Gold, Winter, and Red Sparke versions.

The pedal was a hit, so we continued our collaboration with more D&D-themed pedals such as the Demogorgon Distortion and Graphic EQ, Thunderclap Bass Preamp, Rival Mark V-inspired Preamp, Advantage Dirty Boost, and Bard-O)) Fuzz pedal.

Each pedal has an original vector illustration that I illustrated myself.
